Only a couple of mile from Selcuk are the ancient ruins of the city of Ephesus. On the way to Ephesus are also the picked over ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven ancient wonders of the world. I had a great time in Ephesus, and found the start to a great story that has really defined my experience in Turkey – and left me with the best story of my trip. I'll save the story for its own entry and just say that the ruins of Ephesus were terrific.
